Tom Jeffers Originally founded Jeffers Taxidermy in 1988 in San Diego, CA. He trained under Gary McCoy (Who was trained by Bob Berry on birds). Then moved to Maryland in 1994 where he learned from Walter "Tinker" Johnson and Sunny Russel. In 1996 Tom was introduced to the Maryland Taxidermy Association and National Taxidermy association where he began his journey in the art of wildlife artistry. For the first few years, he served as Sargent of arms and helped with numerous kid seminars at the shows. Later on, becoming president of the Maryland Taxidermy Association where he earned the Mckenzie Taxidermy Supply Most Distinguished Service Award. Tom also received the Distinguished Service Award from the National Taxidermists Association. In the process, he also became an official scorer for the Maryland Trophy Deer Contest created by Walter "Tinker" Johnson. Tom is also a Life Member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
Dalton Jeffers has grown up around taxidermy and the outdoors from a very early age with his father. At the age of 8 went to his first National Taxidermy Show in Louisville, Kentucky, at the age of 18 he joined the board of the Maryland Taxidermy Association. Dalton trained under Tom Jeffers, and Walter "Tinker" Johnson, and also had a few lessons from Charlie Feagan (Fegans Taxidermy).
